A LLANDUDNO pub has been named the best place for a Sunday lunch in the UK in a recent study.
The Cottage Loaf, on Market Street, Llandudno, was found to serve the finest roast dinners in Britain according to heating specialists Stelrad, who trawled through TripAdvisor to find the UK pubs with the most positive reviews for their Sunday lunches.
Using their own scoring system based on factors including the availability of homemade gravy, a wide choice of meat, a roaring fire and whether the pub is dog- and child-friendly, The Cottage Loaf came out on top, scoring a total of 95 marks out of 100.
Some of the TripAdvisor reviews picked about Stelrad about The Cottage Loaf said: “After reading the fabulous reviews on here, we thought we would try this place out whilst on a stay in Llandudno; we thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back!”
Others said: “Visited on Sunday evening and had roast dinners which were really nice, good quality and freshly cooked” and “Great friendly service and value for money. We can’t wait to return when we are back in Llandudno and sample some more of the menu!”
Just behind The Cottage Loaf in second and third respectively was The Imperial Arms in Chislehurst, South London (90/100) and The Cross Keys in Woolstone, Milton Keynes (85/100).
The Cottage Loaf, affectionately known as ‘The Loaf’, serves food seven days a week, between 12-3pm and 5-8pm from Monday to Thursday and 12-8pm from Friday until Sunday.
