AN MS for North Wales has urged fellow politicians to work together to promote tourism in the country.
Sam Rowlands, who chairs the Cross-Party Group on Tourism said he was encouraged with responses from members.
The committee’s last debate centred on the benefits and negatives that local taxes for second homes and self-catering accommodation will have on the tourism industry in the region.
“We need to ensure that the Welsh Government continues to show support and helps the hard hit industry to flourish and grow,” Mr Rowlands said.
“I am delighted to be chairing a group of like-minded people, consisting of all Senedd political parties and representatives from the tourism Industry and Welsh Government.
“There is no doubt about it we have a mammoth task in the future and many challenges
“We will continue to debate these serious issues and press the Welsh Government to take action where necessary.”
