A MEMBER of Conwy County Borough Council is to restart her film club on Friday, October 1.

Julie Fallon, an independent councillor for Deganwy as well as one of the council’s cabinet members for education, has not hosted an event like this since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

The club is to run on the first Friday of every month from now on, starting with the 1944 film ‘Meet Me in St. Louis’ at the Llanrhos Old School community centre on October 1.

Admission is free, with cakes and refreshments served from 2pm before screening of the film starts at 2.30pm.

Councillor Fallon added: “It will be returning for the first time since before COVID – I can’t wait to see everyone and meet any new people that come along.”
