THE weather may have been blustery on Saturday but that didn't stop fans from heading down to the opening of Apprentice winner Alana Spencer's new cafe.
The cafe, by the paddling pool in Craig-y-Don, Llandudno, opened at 9am; the first 20 people received a free chocolate brownie.
The Ridiculously Rich baker was working on site, which featured an array of pastel coloured balloons, much to the delight of fans.
There was queues as those with a sweet tooth took their pick from a menu which featured shakes such as Kinderella and Oreo Kay, scoopable cookie dough and loaded cake slices.
Savoury diners could opt for chips and choose from humble salt and pepper or crab loaded or even drizzled in truffle oil with sprinkles of parmesan.
The Pioneer visited the shack on opening day.
Posting a video on Facebook afterwards, Alana - who also opened a cafe in Cardiff a week before - said: "We have just got through the queue, it was huge earlier.
"I just want to say thank you so much to all of you who popped down today.
"So pleased and grateful. Thank you so much."
Cake-maker Alana won the BBC One's The Apprentice and secured a £250,000 investment from Lord Alan Sugar in 2016.
She went on to create Ridiculously Rich by Alana before launching Ambassador and Cakepreneur schemes.
In October 2019, Ridiculously Rich moved into its first purpose built bakery in Alana’s home town of Aberystwyth.
Alana has spoken out about negative comments she received on Facebook prior to opening the cafe.
The Pioneer did inform the baker that there had been lots of positive feedback from our readers!
She said someone posted the menu on a Llandudno Facebook group that attracted more than 100 negative comments.
She said: "It just really hurts. It is just really hard when you put basically your everything for a few months into something."
Alana said she recognised there is also a lot of people wishing her well.
