How you can win this luxurious Llyn Peninsula farmhouse with a £5 raffle ticket

One lucky winner will become the new owner of the three-bedroom Cefn Isa Farmhouse, located in Rhoslan on the edge of Snowdonia, which is valued at £485,000.

David and Christine Jones, from Lincolnshire, purchased the property for £200,000 in 2019 before spending more than 15 months transforming it into their dream retirement home.

However they came to the difficult decision to abandon that dream to take care of family members after a difficult year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mrs Jones, a frontline care home worker, said “Wales is such a special place for us. David’s mother and father were born in South Wales and I went to school in Bala in the 1970s.

“We couldn’t believe our luck when we found Cefn Isa Farmhouse, and immediately fell in love with the beautiful and unique surroundings. We could see how it must have been at it’s best.

“None of us thought we would be living in anything like the current situation, and because of it, we have made the difficult decision to return to the Lincolnshire area where most of our family live, so we can be closer and support them better.”

Mr and Mrs Jones are aiming to sell 130,000 tickets and a portion of the raised sum will be donated to the Children’s Society, which provides specialist support and campaigns for improved children's well-being.

Mr Jones, a military veteran, said: “We’ve supported the Children’s Society for a long time, and we thought what better way to help during the pandemic than raising money for the most vulnerable children.

“We chose to sell the farmhouse through a competition because everybody wins. We’re able to get the full market value for our home, The Children’s Society gets money they need to help, and someone is going to get a wonderful home for free.

“We sincerely hope that whoever wins, chooses to live here and enjoy it for how unique it is, and appreciate all the work that has been put into bringing it back to life.”

The competition, which ends on June 8, is being run by CwellynDream Raffle Management couple Katherine Jablonowska and Ryan Mclean who carried out a raffle for their own luxury cottage near Criccieth in September last year, which raised a huge £65,000 for the Children's Society.

Their new company now provides a comprehensive service to clients that wish to sell their homes in a raffle style competition.
