A LARGE fire ripped through a Conwy house on New Years Day.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service says it sent four engines to tackle the blaze which occurred at a property on Maenan Terrace in Penmaenmawr at about 3.45pm on Friday.
Thankfully no injuries occurred as a result of the fire, which has gutted the house - with firefighters battling the blaze until midnight.
Three neighbouring properties are said to have also suffered minor damage due to the fire.
A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We sent four fire engines from Llanfairfechan, Conwy, Llandudno and Bangor, with nine breathing appratus and two hose reels used.
"The house received 100 per cent fire damage and there was minor damage in to three neighbouring properties in the loft and roof spaces."
The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation, the fire service says.
