Two men 'revelled' in their campaign of sex abuse against a drugged and unconscious woman, a judge said.

Caernarfon crown court heard police discovered videos of the attacks after arresting Cynric Parry, 64, of Llandudno, following his lewd online messages to an undercover police officer who posed as a girl of 13.

He was jailed for 14 years and three months and his parole licence extended for seven years.

Carwyn Jones, 39, of Mostyn Broadway, Llandudno, was jailed for ten years and his licence period extended by five years. Sexual harm prevention orders were made.

The pair admitted rape and other sex assaults. Parry also pleaded guilty to attempted child sexual offences involving his contact with the officer. Judge Nicola Jones said he had been “training her up” for sex.

Judge Jones said, during an attack on the woman, Parry had stuffed women’s underwear in her mouth. She praised the victim’s “great strength and resilience.”

The woman said in an impact statement that she had been in “complete disbelief” when told by police about the vile videos.

Prosecutor Anna Pope said Parry had made online searches about a powerful sedative and discussed drug rape on social media. More than 15,000 messages were exchanged between the two defendants.

Owen Edwards, defending, said Parry had been a depressed alcoholic and was “deeply ashamed.”

Simon Killeen, barrister for Jones, said he was lonely and hadn’t drugged the victim or obtained the drugs.

Judge Jones told the defendants: "Both of you revelled in your offending.”
