A LLANDUDNO gallery returns with a return to the story of Cain and Abel.
From Thursday, August 13 art lovers can visit the MOSTYN gallery's main exhibition hall and catch Canadian sculptor Athena Papadopoulos' Cain and Abel Can’t and Able.
Running until November 1, the 'found object' exhibition works across sculpture, painting, text and sound, forms which are amassed and collaged together.
The exhibition is inspired by her recently published book Cain and Abel Can’t and Able, which draws from the biblical story to allow Papadopoulos to reflect on her own personal experiences of sibling rivalry and competition within romantic relationships but also, crucially, the struggle between good and evil.
Traditional binary perceptions of gender and sexuality are uprooted and unfixed.
