YET another controlled burn has tied up the emergency services.
Despite repeated pleas from the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, a crew was called to a rubbish fire on Penrhyn Avenue, Rhos on Sea in the early hours of Thursday, July 30.
A spokesperson for fire said: "We were called at 12.15am to a quantity of rubbish was set on fire – cause was controlled burning."
A crew was called to another incident at 23.31pm on Wednesday 29 at Llys Erw in Ruthin, where rubbish on fire on a footpath was believed to have been caused by "deliberate ignition".
Also in Conwy county, at 10.09pm on Wednesday 29 in Llysfaen, one crew attended a vehicle on fire.
The spokesperson added: "The fire was out on arrival and the cause was accidental."
