A YOUNG artist is encouraging readers to vote for him in the hope he can secure an award from a national online art exhibition.
Angus Holland, aged nine, a year four pupil at Rydal Penrhos Prep School in Colwyn Bay, had his work entitled 'Ducks on The Pond' selected for the Royal Academy of Arts Young Artists’ Summer Show.
Those viewing the exhibition can vote for their favourite piece in the People’s Choice Award.
If Angus wins, he will receive art materials and an artist will pay a visit to Rydal Penrhos for a workshop.
Angus, said: “This piece was inspired by Colin See Payton. We were studying him in year three, and I really love his work."
“I like how he uses black ink, because I use black ink and fine liners. I also love the detail in his work.
There has been a surge in demand for Angus’ designs from across the globe in recent weeks, with his family having to set up an Etsy online shop to cope with the volume of orders.
During the first week of the shop’s launch, Angus sold 31 prints to buyers in Canada, Sweden, The Netherlands, United States of America, Australia, England and Wales.
Ducks on the Pond has been the most popular print that people have purchased so far.
