COLWYN Bay’s Cor Meibion is booked to sing on two separate TV programmes in two days.
The first occasion will be when the choir appears on the Antiques Road Show on BBC1 on Thursday January 30 at 4.30 pm and later on iPlayer. This was recorded last March and in the programme the choir appears in front of the Llandudno lifeboat and inside the lifeboat station.
The choir has sung several times for the RNLI notably at the Opening Ceremony and the Christmas concerts. Over the years Colwyn has raised around £150,000 in giving concerts for charities.
The second appearance will be on Friday January 31 when the choir will sing on S4C before the Wales v Italy Under 20 Rugby International at Zip World Parc Eirias , under their new Musical Director Owain Gethin Davies.
The choir has been busy rehearsing the Italian National Anthem, ready for the match.
Cor Meibion Colwyn rehearses on Wednesdays between 7pm and 9.15pm at the community centre Old Colwyn. It has stated it will be very pleased to welcome anyone who would like to meet the choir with a view to adding to its current of 52 voices.
