ACTOR and comedian Eddie Izzard returned to Llandudno to help boost an Aberconwy parliamentary candidate on the campaign trail.
Electioneering on her lunch break from one of her two jobs on Wednesday, November 27, Aberconwy's Welsh Labour candidate Emily Owen was joined by Izzard at 3rd Space Kitchen and Bar on Clonmel Street.
Izzard and Owen met party activists and supporters, who along with regular customers and business owner Gavin Mart contributed to an optimistic atmosphere ahead of the general election, and after a busy morning campaigning for Izzard in the region.
On the agenda for both the transgender activist and the candidate were the NHS in Wales, Brexit and workers rights, as well as a frank discussion of the party's election chances and the effect of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and accusations of anti-Semitism on the upcoming race.
