A 55-year-old homeless woman caught on CCTV begging outside a shop in Llandudno’s main street has been jailed for six weeks.
Susan Piggott admitted begging outside a shop when banned by a criminal behaviour order and was under a suspended sentence imposed ten days earlier.
Magistrates at Llandudno heard she was prohibited from sitting on the ground for more than ten minutes in town centres in Conwy county during shop opening hours.
Prosecutor Diane Williams said Piggott asked for money and received it from five passers-by.
Nia Dawson, defending, said Piggott was in poor health and there was no allegation of aggressive begging. No-one had complained about her behaviour.
