Retail colleagues endured a gruelling commando boot camp to build up their team working skills before the Easter bank holiday.
The Llandudno B&M colleagues were put to the test by ex-marines in an aim to develop their skills in preparation for the summer rush and longer opening hours.
The team – based at Mostyn Champneys Retail Park - took part in the intense boot camp on Llandudno’s promenade, where they were put through their paces.
Commando X Fit Wales lead the session and challenged the team to a series of tough exercises including; quick passes to guarantee products will be scanned smoothly through the tills, burpees to improve their agility, as well as weights to build up their strength and balance.
Ex-marine’s Dan and Adam topped off the hour session with some rigorous team building exercises to examine whether the colleagues could work well together as a team.
Following their trainer’s marine style commands also meant that the troop’s listening skills and ability to follow instructions were put to the test, and despite the sweat and (almost) tears all members managed to pass meaning they’ll be fully equipped for any situations they might face in store this summer.
Store Manager, Donna Birch, said: “It’s been a really exhausting but productive day, in all of my years of working in retail I’ve never experienced anything quite like it.
“The boot camp has pushed us all to the limit and taught us so much, I know that my staff and I are in a much better position now to help tourists and our local customers of course.”
